Lake Annecy Marathon

On April 19, 2026 by Lake Annecy.

The Lake Annecy Marathon 2026 (officially the Brooks Lake Annecy Marathon) is one of the most anticipated sporting events in the region. Renowned for being one of the fastest and flattest courses in France, it offers a spectacular setting between the mountains and the crystal-clear waters of the lake.

In reality, the event takes place over an entire weekend, on April 18 (10 km, half-marathon, youth races) and 19, 2026 (marathon, 5 km, Nordic walking).

Maxi-Race Lake Annecy

From May 29 to 31, 2026.

Annecy hosts one of the most prestigious trail races in the world. The tour of the lake through the mountains returns with a major change: the course is reversed and now runs clockwise! From the legendary tOur of the lake (100 km) to the Marathon-eXperience, the event offers formats for all levels. Note: most races are already full following the new lottery system. For latecomers, an official bib resale platform remains open until April 15, 2026.

Lake Annecy International Triathlon

On September 26 and 27, 2026.

Experience one of the most beautiful triathlons in Europe on September 27, 2026. Between the crystal-clear waters of the lake and the peaks of the Bauges, take on the challenge of the M format (1.5 km swim, 47 km bike with the ascent of Col de Leschaux, and 10 km run on the Pâquier). Exceptionally moved to the end of summer, this edition promises an electric atmosphere and postcard-perfect scenery. Registration opens May 1, 2026: be ready, bibs sell out in just a few hours!

Cinémino - Children's Film Festival

From February 1 to February 28, 2026.

Every year, the children’s and adults’ film festival attracts a wide audience, offering varied programming including cartoons, films, and documentaries. Launched in 2002, this event has continued to gain renown and delight with new offerings that enchant both young and old.

Hors Pistes Festival

From February 17 to 22, 2026.

The Hors Pistes Festival is the essential alternative culture event in Annecy during winter. Hosted by Le Brise Glace, it breaks the codes of the “postcard” city to showcase urban energy.

The Concept: A contemporary music festival (Rock, Electronic, Hip-Hop) combined with digital arts, screenings, and creative workshops.

Annecy Animation Film Festival

From June 21 to 27, 2026.

World capital of animation, Annecy invites you from June 21 to 27, 2026 for an edition that promises to be historic. Between prestigious screenings at Bonlieu and free outdoor sessions on the Pâquier, the festival will celebrate “The Great Thrills” and especially mark the opening of the brand new International City of Animated Film. Fête de la Musique

June 21, 2026.

Annecy celebrates the arrival of summer and the shortest night of the year with music. For this edition, the city transforms into a huge open-air stage: from official stages on the Pâquier to acoustic concerts in the cobbled streets of the Old Town, there’s something for every style (Rock, Jazz, Electronic, Choirs). Enjoy the unique atmosphere of the terraces along the canals and let yourself be carried away by the notes that resonate from the lake to the foot of the Castle. Lake Annecy Festival

First Saturday of August: August 1, 2026.

The Lake Annecy Festival is the flagship event of summer. It’s not just a fireworks display, it’s the largest pyrotechnic show in Europe, attracting nearly 200,000 spectators to the shores of the lake.

The 2026 edition marks a turning point with an immersive creation by Arteventia (already the mastermind in 2025). The show promises a total fusion between natural elements and high technology.

Annecy Paysages Festival

From early July to mid-September.

Immerse yourself in this artistic buzz and explore the city to discover around thirty installations, each more remarkable than the last… These creations, the work of artists, ingeniously blend contemporary art and the beauty of landscape design. This unique festival illuminates the streets of Annecy, its lakeshores, and its parks, offering an unforgettable cultural experience.

High Five Festival Annecy

From October 2 to 4, 2026.

The world gathering for skiing and action sports. A true “Cannes of skiing,” the festival transforms Annecy and the Courier center into a giant winter sports resort: premieres of action sports films at Pathé, brand village on the Pâquier, and memorable evenings. An unmissable event to kick off the winter season among enthusiasts and freestyle pros!

Venetian Carnival

From February 27 to March 1, 2026.

Every year, Annecy revives the enchantment of the Venetian carnival. For three days, hundreds of participants don their sumptuous costumes, borrowing the elegance of Venetian tradition. They stroll through the old town, along the canals and the shores of the lake. In keeping with the characteristic atmosphere of this cultural event, the parade takes place in evocative silence.

Fireworks

On July 13 and 14, 2026.

Fireworks are set off in the small towns around the lake on the evening of July 13. On the evening of July 14, the national holiday is celebrated in Annecy. Activities are offered throughout the day on the Pâquier and in the Jardins de l’Europe. We recommend renting a boat and watching them from the lake, to enjoy all the fireworks around the lake, 360°.

Descent from the Alpine Pastures

The Descent from the Alpine Pastures in Annecy is an ancestral celebration marking the return of herds from the mountain pastures. This traditional event, dating back to the Middle Ages, offers an authentic atmosphere with a parade of over 600 animals, craft demonstrations, and tastings of Savoyard delicacies. Immerse yourself in local culture during this iconic day!

Christmas in the Alps

From late November to early January.

Christmas in the Alps is the flagship event eagerly awaited by the residents of Annecy. Every year, this highly popular event brings together 80 chalets offering a variety of gift ideas and culinary delights enjoyed by all: mulled wine, raclette sandwiches, fondues, tartiflettes, polenta, churros, and many more to discover on site! Saint-André Fair
